Nostalgia Train passenger service no longer operates.

Passenger service after January 1, 2004 was operated for one season with a lease agreement by the all-volunteer Mid-South Rail Heritage Foundation. The Foundation did not continue its operation and the group has been dissolved.

In 2005 the railroad was sold to the Murray-Calloway County Economic Development Corporation, a government agency preserving the route for future use and continuing freight services at the Murray Industrial Park.

The railroad no longer owns any equipment. Freight service is provided on contract by the connecting KWT Railway.
